Kathleen received her BSc. in
1986 - joint honors in geology & geography at Manchester
University, Manchester, England, her MSc in 1989 in earth sciences at
Rutgers University, New Jersey, U.S.A., her PhD in 1994 in earth sciences at
the University of Toronto, Ontario, Canada and PGCE at the University of
Cambridge, Cambridge, England. Prior to returning to the academic
environment, Kathleen worked as a well-site geologist and geological
consultant to the petroleum industry for 5 years. She currently has a full
time position as a professor of earth sciences and geography at the
Penticton campus of Okanagan College, Pentiction, British Columbia. |
Mark received his BSc in geology
in 1983 and MSc in geology in 1988, both from the University
of Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada, completed the Canadian Securities Course
(honors) in 1990
and achieved Professional Geoscientist accreditation in 1999. In addition to
25 years experience as a geological consultant (the last 23 of which have
been in the petroleum industry), Mark has owned a major independent book
store in Kelowna, B.C. (Mosaic Books, from 1991-92) and for the past 15
years has co-owned the Towne Centre Postal Outlet and Card Shoppe on Bernard
Avenue in Kelowna, B.C. |
